I have been taking lessons from Mark with Music Lessons Eugene for about two months. I had a small amount of guitar experience before starting lessons. He started with asking me what my goals are and has tailored lessons to my goals! He has been so helpful and patient during the lessons. He gives me good "homework" to practice and I have already seen results! Also, since he studied composition, he has taught me some music theory which has been very helpful to know the "why" behind chords and notes. He explains things in ways that simplify complicated topics, and if I don't understand he finds another way to explain it. Rachel, the owner, is professional and timely in her responses. I love how the music instructors come to our house (or wherever we are comfortable); it's so convenient.

Our family has been so pleased with Rachel's music lessons. Each of our children ages 12, 9, and 6 have a great time and have learned a lot about piano, rhythm, and music theory in a relatively short period of time. I think Rachel has achieved this through her unique blend of fundamental instruction, laughter, and enthusiasm for all things related to music. It makes our kids especially comfortable that she comes into our home to teach. She has made it convenient with our schedules and is great about keeping us updated on what they are learning about.

Never had a music lesson in my life, so I was quite nervous about starting something so new. But Rachel has such a bright smile and upbeat, warm demeanor, that I immediately felt at ease. She is so patient and encouraging, each lesson leaves me feeling inspired and a little more accomplished!

I appreciate that she is careful not to overwhelm with too much at a time, yet keeps things interesting, and just challenging enough! She teaches with a plan, but is able to be spontaneous and flexible. She takes input from the student in regards to what they would like to learn, and adapts the plan accordingly.

I can’t say enough about how overwhelmingly pleased we were about having Rachel teach our grandsons - ages 5 and 6. She came to our home 2x a week to give them both a private ukulele lesson, each time.

The boys were always excited to see her and excited to show us what they learned that day. She made learning fun while also making sure they learned how to properly handle and respect the instruments.

From her promptness, her prices, easy payment method, her knowledge, her ability to teach and entertain two rambunctious little boys, to her professionalism and amazing ability to connect with them was perfect!

She was 100% in her element and devoted to the time she spent with them. The boys’ first introduction to formal music lessons has most definitely set them up for success in the future.

When my 9-year old asked if she could have piano lessons I was thinking she would change her mind once she realized that she actually has to learn to read music. Rachel came over and made learning music fun!

My daughter has been taking lessons for a few months now and absolutely loves it. My oldest daughter can hear a song and teach it to herself on a piano, but has no clue how to actually read music. Learning to read music is critical when learning how to play it; and now my oldest daughter wishes she would have taken lessons as well!

We appreciate Rachel and all that she has done in the past few months for our daughter!
