Josh

Josh is a dedicated and passionate piano teacher who embarked on his musical journey in 2011 and has since become a seasoned and accomplished musician. His love for the piano is deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of Asian composers, whose works have been a constant source of inspiration throughout his years of study. 

Josh takes great joy in working with students of all ages, but he has a special affinity for adults who are eager to explore the world of piano at any level, from beginner to advanced. His patient and encouraging approach creates a comfortable learning environment, fostering a positive and enjoyable experience for his students. Through his commitment to nurturing musical talent, Josh not only imparts technical skills but also instills a deep appreciation for the artistry and expression that can be achieved through the piano.

Eliza

Eliza Naomi, an esteemed graduate of Utah State University, brings a wealth of musical expertise to her role as an instructor, having dedicated nearly a decade to the art of teaching. With the cello as her primary instrument, Eliza's knowledge extends across a diverse range of musical domains, guiding students not only in cello techniques but also in the realms of singing, songwriting, ukulele, piano, and guitar. Her multifaceted approach reflects a passion for fostering well-rounded musicianship in her students.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Eugene, Eliza has cultivated a warm and inviting home studio where lessons are held, 

Christopher

Christopher is a passionate singer eager to share the transformative power of music and performance. His journey in the arts began in fourth grade with the Oregon Children's Choir, where he discovered the joy of captivating audiences through song. Chris remained committed to his musical pursuits, singing with the choir throughout middle and high school.

In 2014, Chris took his first steps into the world of musical theater. Since then, he has been an active participant in community theater productions with dedication and versatility. Alongside his performance endeavors, Chris dedicated three years to studying vocal performance at Lane Community College, further enriching his musical journey and refining his skills.

For Chris, the true magic of music lies in its ability to convey emotion and tell compelling stories. As an experienced music teacher, he is passionate about nurturing the talents of beginner and intermediate vocalists. With a focus on technique and artistic expression, Chris guides his students on a journey of self-discovery, helping them to find their unique voice and confidence as performers.

Brenna

Brenna's journey in music is a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication to the art form. Her musical odyssey commenced at a young age, with her soulful voice resonating in local coffee shops from the tender age of 14. Steeped in the world of jazz, Brenna received professional training in jazz voice, complemented by a stellar choral education during her formative years. This rich foundation paved the way for her continued studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

Post-graduation, she continued her teaching endeavors, offering private lessons in guitar and voice to local students and contributing her expertise to the CHS choir. More recently, Brenna has made significant contributions to Clackamas Community College, where she imparts her knowledge through private voice lessons.

From her home studio in the vibrant Portland-metro area, Brenna extends her reach through virtual learning options, providing a nurturing space for students to explore their musical potential. Her multifaceted journey, marked by a blend of performance, education, and community engagement, showcases Brenna as a passionate and versatile force in the musical landscape.

Avery

Avery is a passionate and experienced music teacher with a diverse background in piano and guitar. With five years of formal piano training and a lifetime of proficiency in guitar, Avery brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his teaching practice. His journey in music education began at Lane Community College, where he honed his teaching skills as part of the Music Tutoring Department. Through his work there, Avery developed a knack for effectively communicating musical concepts to students of all ages and skill levels. Avery is currently pursuing a degree in Music Theory, further enriching his understanding of music and enhancing his ability to teach complex theoretical concepts to his students.

Kyler

Kyler is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and audio engineer, bringing over fifteen years of experience in playing and recording. His interest in music education sparked during his time at Lane Community College, where he provided tutoring in the audio engineering department.

 

Kyler values the unique musical journey of each student, aiming to create a supportive environment tailored to individual needs. He enjoys sharing the joy of the creative process, whether through teaching or pursuing his own musical endeavors. Outside the classroom, you might find Kyler performing, managing live sound for shows, writing music, or collaborating with various clients.

Zoë

James

James is a seasoned musician, dedicating 13 years to mastering the clarinet. Fueled by a profound love for the instrument, he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with students at the beginning or intermediate levels. Beyond his academic achievements, James blends technical expertise with artistic expression, fostering a deep appreciation for the melodic possibilities of the clarinet.

His personalized and engaging approach makes the learning experience rewarding for each student. Joining James on this musical journey means gaining not only a skilled instructor but also a mentor fueled by genuine passion for the clarinet and a desire to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Kira

Kira is a recent graduate of the UO School of Music where she focused on bass playing versatility (playing in the college’s jazz quartets and quintets, hip hop ensembles and latin combos), honing in music theory, and understanding a wide range of genres in the context of musicology. 

The bass guitar has been a long term passion that she is excited to share and discuss from beginning levels through intermediate. 

Over the past 12 years of playing she has performed in over 200 shows across 10 contrasting genres, tracked for 8 released records, earned minors in Audio Technology and Production, taught independently, worked in instrument repair, sales and concert booking; every aspect of the music industry holds so much potential and curiosity that she is willing to explore tangentially, with bass as the inspiring force.

Rena

Rena's deep-rooted passion for percussion blossomed with her initiation into the snare line of her high school marching band, setting the stage for a nearly decade-long journey as a drummer. Over the years, she has honed her skills through dedicated study under various accomplished instructors, acquiring a nuanced understanding of rhythmic intricacies. Rena's expertise extends beyond individual practice, encompassing live studio drumming experience that underscores her commitment to a diverse and comprehensive musical education.

In addition to her individual practice, Rena has also accumulated live studio drumming experience, showcasing her dedication to a comprehensive musical education. Her professional background is a testament to her proficiency in navigating the dynamic realm of live music. Whether aspiring to craft foundational rhythms, play along with favorite tunes, or eventually perform collaboratively with other musicians, Rena's expertise provides a solid foundation for students seeking to explore the world of percussion. Her professional and accommodating approach ensures a supportive and enriching learning experience for individuals at any stage of their drumming journey.
